Attending Sunday Morning Worship

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ATTENDING SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP AT ST. JAMES

Please note the following points if you wish to come to worship at St James on Sunday mornings (starting from 20th September 2020).

  1. Attendance at services will not need to be booked in advance. Whilst we will endeavour to cater for those who do attend it may be necessary to turn people away if safe numbers to maintain social distancing are exceeded.

  2. Please note that in accordance with Government requirements personal details of all those attending must be given to Steward/Sidesperson and kept for 21 days after which they will be destroyed.

  3. Offerings will NOT be collected at church. If you wish to donate, please send any offerings to Mary Kennedy (contact details at end of these notices).

  4. On arrival please note the following procedures:

    1. wait outside the porch until invited into the church by the steward/sidesperson

    2. face coverings to be worn at all times within the building

    3. use the hand sanitiser on entering the church

    4. please bring your own bible and pew leaflet if wanted. No hymns will be sung

    5. seats will be allocated by the steward/ sidesperson

    6. once seated remain there until/unless directed by the minister or steward/ sidesperson

    7. at end of the service:

      1. leave service book on seat
      2. take pew leaflet home or put in waste bin for disposal -PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE IN SEAT
      3. leave the church as directed by the steward/ sidesperson as soon as possible.

Further notes:

NO MEETINGS INSIDE THE CHURCH BUT SOCIALLY DISTANCING IN THE CHURCHYARD IS OK

Refreshments cannot be served after the service at this time.

Only the disabled toilet to be used and you are requested to wipe down all touched surfaces with wipes provided.
